Hail To The Taxi

Are you talking to me?

Someone once told me that if you took a taxi everywhere you drove for your life, it would be cheaper than owning a car.
I'm starting to believe that - especially now that gas prices are at a record high.

The previous combined average record high was $1.76 in May 2001.

I'm sure that taxi fares would also increase but just imagine all the money you plunk into fixing and maintaining you car? Is it worth it to own a car just so that you have that freedom of owning a car?

Of course, it would be harder to go through drive-thrus but you might get the taxi driver to do it.
