Anatomy of the Eye
I took anatomy and I understand that the human head is criss-crossed with sinuses, but I'm still taken aback by the fact that when I put my pre-Lasik eyedrops in I can taste them. That's right. About 3 minutes after dropping them into my waiting eye, a nice medicine taste comes over the back of my throat. I can only picture the eyedrops easing their way around the optical organ into a sinus cavity and then being aided by gravity toward the back of my throat. They really should put a warning on the bottle.
On a related note: I've begun compiling a list of things-to-do after lasik.
- See in a pool,
- See in the shower,
- See on a humid day,
- See the alarms clock, and most importantly, since spring is coming,
- Wear a pair of cheap sunglasses.
Thursday is the day.
