Go-To Mel

The Passion of the Christ came out last night. I heard that many church groups were going to go in flocks to see it (bad pun intended). Reportedly it took in $15,000,000 to $20,000,000 the first night. I'll skip the whole is-this-movie-too-violent-for-kids discussion and just say that Mel Gibson is the go-to guy for time period movies. After starting off Mad Max in a future setting you'd never think he'd play Hamlet, Jesus and William Wallace. Just goes to show that if you can act, you'll get the good parts.
