Sometimes this week the Bush Administration announced some advances that would be made in the space program. I watched a bit on the news where some NASA folks were saying how excited they were that we were getting such good data from our satellites.

Sure. That's great. But what about kids who don't have shoes? What about teachers that quit because they aren't getting paid enough to deal with Ritalin hopped up kids?

I'm sure the engineers at NASA are nice people, but how much does one of them make? How much rocket fuel is needed for a mission to Mars.

I'd like to stay on the technological edge but I'm not sure I'd be saying that if I were a homeless person in Florida that was woken up one morning by the sound of a billion dollar rocket ship taking off. What do you think?
