Grocery Games
In an effort to help the grocery store execs, I'm even willing to propose a few games. Here are some ideas....
1 - Cart Races. A Slalom track can be set up and then the participants have to maneuver the carts through the course without loosing any items from their highly filled cart.
2 - Weight Guessing. What better showcase of the rare talent of picking just the perfect amount of produce to produce one pound of produce? Contestants can be handed a random weight amount and then asked to gather up the amount of fruits and veggies needed to get to that weight.
3 - The Speedy Checkout. With the advent of self-checkout, contestant can show off their skills in a timed event. Bruises to bananas will be a point deduction.
4 - Blind Team Toboggan. Finally, in a team event, a contestant will be placed in the cart as the navigator. The other member of the duo will be blindfolded and then made to navigate by directions given by the other teammate. Points will be deducted for hitting the Dr. Pepper display and the object will be to cart a certain number of items in the shortest time frame.
5 - Slippery Aisle Slide. What a good time to advocate client safety as contestants see how far they can slide in a slippery aisle laced with grape rinds and nectarine juice.
